Community Paediatrics and Child Health
Paediatric Neurodiability and Developmental paediatrics.
I did my primary medical qualification in India. After working in Paediatrics in India and Nepal I moved to the UK where I worked in general paediatrics and neonatology in different hospitals before joining community paediatrics at Hull and East Yorkshire NHS trust in 2005. I did my MRCPCH in 2004 and Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric Neurodisability from Sheffield University in 2014.
In October 2018 I joined as Consultant Community Paediatrician at Cumbria Partnership Foundation Trust, now called North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.
I am one of the Medical Appraisers for the trust and I enjoy this role.
I have an academic interest in training and teaching and have had the opportunity to do some teaching at UCLAN (university of central Lancashire) Whitehaven for Medical students and Physician Associate students.
I enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team. I find it rewarding to work with the children and young people and their parents/ carers and addressing their different problems. I enjoy my work and the challenges it brings.
Collaboration. I greatly value team work which is key to providing holistic care.
