NCIC would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Amy and Jason for their incredibly generous donation made in loving memory of their beautiful son, Toby.
In honour of what would have been Toby's first birthday, Amy and Jason organised Toby's Memory Walk, bringing together family, friends and supporters to celebrate Toby's life and create a lasting legacy in his name.
Thanks to the kindness and generosity of everyone who donated, an amazing £2,210 was raised. The funds were donated to the West Cumberland Hospital Bereavement Fund to support the Bluebell Suite, a dedicated space where bereaved parents can spend precious time with their baby. As well as a donation to help fund sibling support boxes, providing comfort and support for families affected by baby loss.
We are extremely grateful to Amy and Jason for choosing to support bereaved families through their fundraising. Their donation will help other families experiencing the most difficult of circumstances, in a safe, supportive space when they need it most.
Amy and Jason recently returned to West Cumberland Hospital to meet with the team who supported their family following the loss of Toby.
Amy said:
“We were also invited back to West Cumberland to meet with Kerry the bereavement Midwife who supported us through the loss of Toby, alongside Sandra and Danielle who provided the most caring and safest space for us and Toby. We will always be so grateful for the support and care we received from these wonderful people. Always in our hearts Toby, always loved, always missed, always with us and never forgotten.”
Kerry Pape, Specialist Bereavement midwife at NCIC said:
“It was lovely to welcome Amy and Jason back to thank them for their extremely kind donation. We hope they can see just how much Toby's memory is continuing to make a positive difference for other families. Thank you all so much!”
On behalf of everyone at NCIC Charity, thank you to Amy and Jason and their family and friends who supported Toby's Memory Walk. Your kindness and generosity will have a meaningful and lasting impact on families across our communities.
