The Special Care Dental team from Furness and South Lakes have been highly commended in the National Oral Health Awards in the Best Care of Nervous Patients category for the development of an anxiety management pathway based on psychological treatment approaches.
The team said:
"We would like to send a massive thank you to the trusts clinical psychology team for the superb training they have provided us with. The Cognitive Behavioural Therapy course they offer is absolutely excellent and better than any training we could have found elsewhere.
"What we have achieved in the last two years has been beyond anything we could have imagined. A great example of collaborative working."
