The NHS App helps you to get well, stay well, and manage your health care.
It is a simple and secure way to:
- order repeat prescriptions
- find NHS services
- view your GP health record
- get reminders and messages
- and much more …
It's free and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Your hospital appointments
Most outpatient appointments for our services can now been seen on the NHS App. We continue working to get more services online.
For most appointments you can request to amend or cancel these directly on the NHS App. However, currently for some specialities you will be provided with a phone number in order to amend or cancel an appointment. We are working towards you being able to manage all appointments directly on the app in the future.
Patients with appointments available on the NHS App will receive:
- Push notifications (please ensure these are enabled on your phone to ensure you get these)
- Email alerts (if no response via the App within 24 hours)
- SMS messages (if no response to email within 24 hours)
- If there is still no response, a paper letter will be sent.
This approach makes sure you are informed while reducing unnecessary printing and postage.
Future developments
The NHS App is becoming the digital ‘front door’ for NHS services. Future developments will allow you to:
- View clinic letters
- Access more self-service options
- Manage your healthcare
We will keep this page updated as new features become available.
You can download the NHS App or find the same services on the NHS website: www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/
