A one-day Ultrasound Course will be held in Carlisle on February 25.
Dr Mohamed Mohamed, consultant anaesthetist and lead of regional anaesthesia at the Cumberland Infirmary, is organising the course in the Education Centre on Infirmary Street.
He said: “This is the second time that we have organised this course. It attracts people from across the UK and we are trying to build on last year’s success.”
The course will run from 8.30am until 4pm and will feature a host of speakers from hospitals across the country including Newcastle, Gateshead and Cambridge.
In the morning, Dr David Buckley will give a lecture on Safety in Regional Anaesthesia and Physics; Dr Kaled Elnagar will talk about Upper Limb Blocks; Dr Ashwani Gupta will speak about Lower Limb Blocks; Dr Ahmed Elrefaey will speak about Abdominal Blocks and Dr Mohamed Mohamed will lecture on Neuroaxial Ultrasound and ESP blocks.
The afternoon session will focus on scanning on live models.
