NCIC’s LED Lead Tutor, Dr Mahfud Ben‑Hamida, has been awarded a National Award for Outstanding Contribution by an LEDTutor/Lead from Medical Education Leaders UK.
This is a remarkable achievement, especially given the extremely strong competition from across the country.
Lynsey Brown, General Manager for Corporate Medical Services said:
“Mahfud received outstanding feedback in support of his nomination, recognising the dedication and leadership he brings to supporting our LED workforce. He consistently goes above and beyond in his role, ensuring our LEDs feel supported throughout their time at NCIC, from the moment they join us to the moment they move on. Mahfud is an immensely valued member of our team, and we are thrilled to see his exceptional work celebrated at a national level.”
Dr Mahfud Ben‑Hamida said:
"It was lovely to see the kind words that were written for my nomination and in support of the award. I am very pleased to be given the award and am thankful to work in such a supportive team."
Professor Sam Dearman, Director of Medical Education, said:
“I am delighted that Dr Ben Hamida has won Medical Education Leaders UK award for outstanding contribution as NCICs Tutor for Locally Employed Doctors (LEDs). The GMCs data shows that LEDs across the country are the fastest growing group of doctors across the UK and are concerned that they are not given the same level of developmental opportunities and professional respect that others are afforded, so to hear that our LED Tutor has been recognised as the highest achiever in the country for this important work is tremendous. Well done Mahfud.”
Mahfud.”
