Daniel Kennedy, has praised Steve Gunn, Physotherapist at West Cumberland Hospital.

This came after 25 years of continuous back pan, sciatica, shooting pains down both legs, feet, neck and arms since their teens. Daniel sent a letter of thanks which included:

"I would like to share my huge appreciation of Steve's professionalism. He shows something that seems to be increasingly rare today. He had patience, understanding, ability, knowledge, confidence, and bravery to take responsibility of dealing with my problem as and how he felt was appropriate"

Involvement
The Physiotherapist was different to anyone I had met before through the NHS. They patiently listened to my view, accurately assessed the problem and took time to explain in detail what they suspected was the cause of the problem.

Kindness & Compassion

I would like to share my huge appreciation for the Physiotherapists professionalism.  They showed smoothing that seems to be increasingly rare today.  They had patience, understanding, ability, knowledge, confidence, and bravery to take responsibility of dealing with my problem as and how they felt appropriate.

Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation

The Physiotherapist showed great integrity and tact.  I hope this may at least raise a little awareness and encourage others to recognise and admit the need to refer patients on to more experienced practitioners, and the follow the Physiotherapist’s example to act on their experience and knowledge through a genuine desire to help other people.

Would you recommend our ward to friends and family?
