In 2025:

  • 2,486 babies were delivered by our maternity teams, with 11 November being the most common birth date.
  • Our A&E departments saw almost 108,000 attendances. That’s around 295 people every day. Staff worked hard to provide care even on the busiest days.
  • Almost 89,000 patients began treatment with us, and district nurses supported around 4,799 patients each week.
  • We opened three new units: the Community Diagnostic Centre in Workington, and the Endoscopy and Urology Investigations Units in Carlisle.
  • Maternity teams scored significantly above the trust average in the CQC inpatient survey.
  • Our furniture swap shop saved £12,300 this year by recycling desks, chairs, and more – with more savings to come.
  • 555 compliments have been recorded so far. Each one means a lot to colleagues who come to work to make a difference.

Thank you to our staff for your commitment and care, and to our patients and communities for your support.

Wishing you all the best for 2026.
