Pharmacy
The Pharmacy service oversees all the medication provided to our patients across our hospitals. We supply and dispense medicines, provide information and advice, and make sure all medicines are administered safely. Our team includes pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants and support staff.

This policy sets out the procedural steps needed to ensure that an accurate medication history is taken for patients on admission to North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) hospitals.
Self Administration of Medicines Policy
This policy gives guidance to the circumstances where self-administration of medicines by patients when in a hospital setting is approved and supported. It also allows for patients/carers administering medicines to patients, where this is usual practice at home.
