Opportunities available:

The community rehabilitation service provides specialist assessment, rehabilitation and advice for patients, families and carers. Emphasis is placed on the provision of a holistic care package tailored to individual needs with the aim of developing maximum independence and hence improving quality of life.

Joanne Howard, Early Supported Stroke Discharge (ESSD) Co-ordinator, said: “Not a lot of people can say that they truly enjoy their job. I love mine and have learned so much. We have worked with so many stroke survivors and to see people progress is what makes our job so satisfying”

The north Cumbria stroke team is committed to improving its services for our local population and working together to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. Working as a team is a priority for us, we are friendly, supportive and flexible.
