A young girl from Plumbland near Aspatria has raised £900 for the Cumberland IMG_1928.JPGInfirmary Intensive care unit.

11 year old Jazmin Thompson completed an eight mile sponsored walk in April to raise the cash.

She was only 10 when she completed her challenge and said that she was already thinking about her future in a healthcare profession, but she also wanted to do her bit now.

At the beginning of the pandemic, she had seen ventilators on the TV and decided to raise money to help the ICU at the Cumberland Infirmary.

Jazmin has said she would like the money to be spent on equipment for the unit. She came to the Cumberland infirmary this week and presented a (socially distant) cheque to some of the ICU team.

What a star, thank you Jazmin and good luck in your future career.
