Jo Hubbold.jpgJo Hubbold, Occupational Therapist is undergoing a sponsored head shave to raise money for charity.

‘Jo with the curly hair’ is based in Keswick and is having all her hair shaved off for Parkinson’s UK and the MS Society.

Jo said:

“I saw last year how much the pandemic had affected charities with all the events being cancelled, so decided I wanted to do something to help.

“I don’t really know why I decided on a head shave. I’ve just always been ‘Jo with the curly hair’ when people are describing me, so I suppose it seemed appropriate.”

“It was really hard to choose between all the great causes- but both of those charities mean something to me so I decided to split it between them.”

Not only is Jo raising money for charities, she is also donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust too.

The Little Princess Trust is a charity that accepts hair donations in order to provide free real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.

The shaving will take place on the 12th June. You can also sponsor Jo to show your support.
