Would you like to support the Trust to deliver our seasonal vaccination programme? We are looking for trained vaccinators to work with the core Occupational Health team to deliver Flu/Covid Booster vaccinations to our colleagues across the NCIC footprint.

The successful applicant will work as part of our dedicated vaccine teams, based from Whitehaven and Carlisle Hospital sites. Contracts will be offered on a full or part time basis for a fixed term, however, we ask that there is some flexibility around hours/shift patterns from time to time.dawn mahone full.jpg

Dawn Mahone is part of the trust’s Occupational Health Service’s Vaccination Team that the successful applicants will work alongside. She explains how you really feel like you make a difference and can gain vital professional experience:

"Vaccination is one of the most important things we can do to protect ourselves our families and our patients against ill health. Being part of a vaccination campaign such as Flu or Covid 19 is rewarding and satisfying and you can really feel that you can make a difference.

It can be an incredibly busy planning and rolling out a vaccine campaign, however it is also the most fast-paced and fun work activity especially knowing you are working alongside an experienced, highly skilled and motivated team. This will give you a real confidence boost professionally as it is such a positive and rewarding experience

As a vaccinator you will be helping protect our colleagues and our patients and you will develop great communication skills, interpersonal skills & vaccine administration skills

You will join me in the Occupational Health Team which is a highly skilled team who have experience and knowledge and we would love to share this with successful applicants. OH nursing is a specialist branch of nursing & we feel very privileged to work in such an important role. The team is a strong friendly professional team with good leadership, and it would be fantastic if you came to work with us as part of our team delivering an essential service this winter, for our patients ….our community.”

The role will work a range of shifts over 7 days and will be looking to start in post from the middle of September 2022.
