AHPs.jpgA listening event for the public has been launched to help shape the future of Allied Health Professionals (AHPs).

Health and social care is facing unprecedented times and care has had to be provided in new and different ways. People across the health and care system have proven that they can work in new ways to make sure people get the support they need. This is an opportunity to reshape how Allied Health Professionals deliver care as they recover and rebuild for the future.

They want to hear what’s important to you about how you receive help with your health, how Allied Health Professions working in health and social care can make the best possible experience, how they can help you stay well and how technology might help all of us in the future.

Together they will be able to understand what’s most important and make sure they are using the full range of Allied Health Professions to provide the best care when you need it most.

Penny Parsons, Associate Director of AHPs at NCIC, said: “The work is linked to the national strategy for AHPs, called AHPs into Action. This strategy is currently being reviewed and as part of that review process we want feedback from members of the public and staff on their priorities.

“AHPs and the AHPs into Action agenda are getting a lot of national coverage at the moment, particularly as the value of the work AHPs are capable of delivering is being more widely recognised and reported. Suzanne Rastrick, the Chief AHP for England, is leading on this piece of work and is encouraging all AHPs to participate and support.”
