The Macmillan Information and Support Centre is still available during coronavirus, they continue to virtually provide emotional and physical support to people affected by cancer.

NCIC employs Macmillan staff to provide information and support between 10am and 4pm from Monday to Friday each week. Those who are worried or require support from the Macmillan team can get in touch with them either by phone or via email.

They have access to up to date information, which they can send to patients’ homes if required, as well as links to Macmillan/Citizens Advice Benefits Advisers. They also have information about Look Good Feel Better virtual sessions for women with cancer.

Hilary Kendal, NCIC Macmillan Information & Support Service Manager, said:

‘We welcome calls or emails from people who want more advice, information, or even for a chat. ’

‘We are here for all those in need of support, we know this is a difficult time for not just those with cancer, but their families too. We hope that by offering our services virtually, we can still have a positive impact for those who need us.’
