The Renal Unit and Dr Mead at West Cumberland Hospital were presented with a cheque for £2,800 by the relatives of the late Garry Slone who was a dialysis patient at West Cumberland Hospital.
The family raised the money via a charity walk from West Cumberland Hospital to Seaton, Workington and also a charity night.
The money raised will be used to support the Renal Unit by buying essential equipment, improving the patient’s environment and also supporting the nursing staff on their educational endeavours.
