The dedicated facility which is located in Theatres 2-5 and occupied 13 beds in ward one at WCH is designed to carry out planned operations in a protected environment, separate from emergency services. This approach is designed to reduce cancellations, shortens waiting times, and ensures patients receive care in the safest, most efficient way possible.
The hub runs 5 days per week, 10 hours a day and is located within the day case unit floor 4 at WCH
