She said: “I had been so very anxious about the current situation as I was terrified to give birth without my other half or be on the ward without him with newborn twins following a c-sction if I tested positive for Covid-19.

“From the second I arrived on the ward I felt instantly comforted and supported.

“My midwifes - Hayley and Lucie - were exceptional.

“The support I felt from the both of them was second to none, the team in the theatre were also amazing.

“On return to my room the breastfeeding support I received from Donna was impeccable.

“I was very anxious about breastfeeding twins but with the support I received I’m managing amazingly and feel proud of myself after positive comments from the team which I feel without Donna and her fellow colleagues input I would not have.

“Thankfully, I stayed in my labour room recovering after my surgery so my partner was able to spend the night. Emma and Layla on nights where so attentive and kind hearted.
“Every single member of the team that I met was a credit to the trust.

“I felt in my own baby bubble with no worries about Covid at all from the second I arrived until I left.

“It’s been the most positive experience I have ever had.

“Thank you all for what you do each and every day. You are true heroes.”
