Spring bash will raise charity cash
A charity Spring bash to raise money for NCIC’s Special Care Baby Unit will be taking place early next month. Harriet Storey has organised the event at the Halston Hotel in Carlisle on Saturday, May 4 to say thanks to staff at SCBU and the charity Neoangels at the James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough.

This policy is to ensure the effective management of medical gases within the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC). This includes the provision of safe, secure and reliable systems, including medical gas pipelines, cylinders and associated equipment.
Medicines - Possession of Substances Liable to Abuse Policy
This Policy sets out the procedures that must be implemented if staff suspect that a patient in their care or a visitor is illegally in possession of, or supplying or using what is believed to be or suspected of being an illicit substance.

This policy sets out the procedural steps needed to ensure that an accurate medication history is taken for patients on admission to North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) hospitals.
Self Administration of Medicines Policy
This policy gives guidance to the circumstances where self-administration of medicines by patients when in a hospital setting is approved and supported. It also allows for patients/carers administering medicines to patients, where this is usual practice at home.
