NHS virtual work experience opportunities in Cumbria

This National Careers Week, we have launched two new exciting virtual work experience programmes. This will allow young people and adults to learn more and understand the different career choices in the NHS and also the various routes available.

Today we celebrate all our Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS’s). At our Trust we have around 40 CNS’s, each providing  skilled, personalised care, and improving the experience of both cancer patients and the wide range of colleagues they work with. 

Keeping your child safe at home - tips and advice

Each year 40,000 under-fives are admitted to hospital following accidents, and lots of these accidents are preventable. Our babies and children are precious and we want to protect them from harm. Sometimes accidents happen and can’t be prevented, but by making our homes safe we can make these accidents less likely to occur.

Spring bash will raise charity cash

A charity Spring bash to raise money for NCIC’s Special Care Baby Unit will be taking place early next month. Harriet Storey has organised the event at the Halston Hotel in Carlisle on Saturday, May 4 to say thanks to staff at SCBU and the charity Neoangels at the James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough.
